Welcome to Corradetti Glass

Discover the artistry of glassblowing at its finest, handcrafted in the heart of Baltimore, Maryland.

The space is an independent studio where glasswork is created everyday including large scale installations, lighting projects, and mostly artistic pieces for home or office. The showroom is open daily and features a variety of works for sale from one of a kind art to limited production pieces all made by Anthony Corradetti and his team.

Corradetti earned a BFA in 1978 from the Tyler School of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. Some recent exhibitions of his work have taken place at Artscape in Baltimore; the Reston Art Center in Reston, Virginia; the Tokyo Crafts Exhibition; and the Gothelf Gallery in Vail, Colorado.

Corradetti's work is in the permanent collection of the Corning Museum of Glass, in Corning, New York, the Wheaton Museum of Glass in Millville, New Jersey, and the Rite Aid Corporate Office in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He has operated an independent glass studio in Baltimore since 1981.

While studying ceramics at the Tyler School of Fine Art in Philadelphia, Corradetti, one day, found himself in the school’s glass studio where he was struck by how quickly a finished object could appear through the technical ability of master glassblowers. This inspired Corradetti to strive to become one of these masters - the artist immediately enrolled in a glassblowing course and began making clear forms that could then be painted. The surfaces of Corradetti's works gradually become layered with overlapping colors and textures, and a flow of imagery emerges around the vessel. Ironically, his pieces can return to the oven as many as twelve times between layers of paint in order to properly fire the luster paints into the surface of the glass.

Corradetti Glass Studio also offers a variety of classes where guests can blow glass for fun or actually learn the craft through our introductory and private courses. Aside from classes, the rustic, yet chic workspace happens to double as an elegant event venue. From weddings to corporate parties, Corradetti Glass Studio will surely charm your guests.
